Yes I speak Korean :)

There was a weekend when Salma, Maddy and I went shopping around Konkuk university . We went to go eat lunch in small restaurant , the servers there only spoke Korean and no English. It become apparent that we will have hard time ordering food without pork. So Salma and Maddy just ordered something random . There was a man sitting next to us and he was drinking . He started to have conversation with me in Korean , when I stared to respond to him (in Korean) he was very surprised. He started complimenting me and asking me where I’m from. This happened to me several times on my trip. I think it’s interesting how Koreans don’t really expect foreigners to speak their language. And when we do, they become surprised and impressed as well as more friendly.
