The lecture about education in Korea really reminded me of what we read about regarding Korean education. The books we read discussed the importance the Korean government put on education, which was solidified by the lecture. The readings also discussed the crazy amount of studying students are required to do. When visiting the North Korean refugee school, they discussed about how they help students who are older or foreign and aren’t allowed into public schools, pass the high school graduation exam. Also, when we talked with the students, who are showing us around, they also discussed the amount of studying that has to be done.
