My first impression as I got out the airport doors was, “WOW! So beautiful~!” It was like I was in paradise. The trees, the fresh air, the breeze; I felt it greet me. After being here for two days and experiencing all the beautiful destinations, I realized that Jeju residents are really one with nature. Our guide mentions all the time about how Jeju Islanders love to preserve nature, and I see that through their actions while passing through fields and observing them as they hike up tirelessly to the top of the mountains with us. I especially love the tangerine gardens and the tea plantations. One thing I was a bit disappointed to see was that Jeju Island seemed to have a little bit more trash (litter) on the streets and in the water as compared to Seoul, but overall, I enjoy the nature here. One less thing, I learned that there are more Chinese tour guides than English tour guides and that there are a lot of Chinese people here in Jeju. This surprised me a bit.
