My first impression on Jeju Island is that it’s a very beautiful place. As expected the landscape is gorgeous. There aren’t that many people here like in Seoul. The places that we’ve visited so far in Jeju island are very beautiful and breathtaking. There was a lot of walking, but the end results were definitely worth it. I was also surprised that tangerines were such a big part of Jeju island’s culture. Joanne, our tour guide, explained to us that when a guy asks a girl if she wanted to eat tangerines with him that means he likes her; it’s just like when a guy asks a girl if she wants to have some coffee with him. I found this very cute and unique. This stood out to me because it was different and interesting, and also our tour guide has been continuously talking about tangerines everyday; which I find funny and cute. Overall, Jeju island is a very nice place to take a vacation to. I understand why there are so many people who want to come here for vacation, I’m happy that I get a chance to explore Jeju Island.
