Five hundred stair steps!

On the first official tour day here on Jeju Island, we were scheduled to go to Seongson Sunrise Peak. Before arriving there, the group and I were informed that we must climb five hundred stair steps in order to get to the top and see the crater. I thought that it would be easy, because I have gone hiking with no problem. However, with the added humidity and the backpack that I was carrying, there were ten times when I wanted to give up. I am so glad that I decided to push through because the view was worth it. In addition, I can now understand how the Jeju Island population look very healthy - they enjoy these climbs and views.

Final reflection

I don't even know where to begin as a final reflection. This trip made me realize just how much I would like to live and work in Korea....
