I love trying new food, and so far everything I’ve tried here in Korea has been very delicious. Before I came to Korea, I knew that Korea has a liking towards spicy food and I was very excited for it because I love spicy food. However, when I came here and tried some spicy food, it was a different kind of spiciness. Korean spicy food tends to be sweeter while the spiciness that I’m more comfortable with is saltier. The spiciness in most Korean food usually builds up as you eat it rather than tasting the spiciness on the first bite. I found this difference very interesting because it was a different experience for me, but I’m glad I got to try it.
