South Korean students continue to work to be at the top of their class and to excel in school in order to push towards development and change for a positive future. History is the main reason why South Korean individuals continue to believe in the power of education. South Korea was a poor country, and it was continuously being attacked from the surrounding countries - North Korea, Japan, and China. South Korea lacked in natural resources, but was able to develop because they have human power, which is why they continue to be strong in technology. After attending lecture on Korean history and going to the Demilitarized Zone, I have learned the importance of human power and the power of education.
