Students are like K-pop idols

One of the things I noticed about South Korea is how much business is integrated in Seoul. There are all kinds of shops on the majority of every street: café, small and large food restaurants, technology... Experiencing the weather for a week now, I find it surprising how people use mini digital fans to cool themselves. It didn't think Korea would be this humid and/or I thought Koreans were used to the heat. Being a student at SNUE made me more aware of the Koreans students that are attending the university, because we learned that only the top students get accepted to the big universities. The campus is quite small but I understood that its focus is education. Korean culture has been my interest for a long time, especially K-pop. I saw a lot of Korean idols on advertisements and being sponsored. K-pop is a huge industry in Korea and I think that's kind of like being a top student: if you debut, you will be known and make more money; if you don't, you don't make money and have to worker harder. Seoul is where these idols and the some of the big schools are at, so I'm not surprised at how much the Seoul population is at today. Something I enjoy about South Korea is the efficient and ease of transportation. It's even better than Minnesota's metro transit ligh rail system! I can't wait to explore more of South Korea by travelling on their transportation systems and make memories.
