A dream is born

I didn't have a culture shock during my first week in Seoul as I watched Korean dramas over the last 10 years. And through the dramas, I learned the Korean culture. However, there is a difference between knowing things and experiencing things. So experiencing things I saw in the drama, such as the setup of convenience stores and subway stations, were really interesting and enjoyable. I was surprised to learn how hard it is to get into Seoul National University of Education. There are about 12,000 applications for about 300 spots. The Korean Education and Korean History classes were very informative and interesting. It amazing how fast the country developed after the war due to education. Visiting the refugee school and listening to the stories of the students made me appreciate the things I have even more. The picture below is one of the classroom, and I would like to come back here one day in the future to volunteer.
