My three weeks in Korea has helped me grow and develop as an individual. As a human resource development major, I found it interesting that the Korean culture believes highly in human capital and therefore invest a lot in their child’s education. Every parent wants their child to get good grades and score high on the national exam to go to a good university. A good university will lead to a good paying job making the education system very competitive. This was a huge takeaway for me. If I ever plan do research on HRD, Korea may be a good place to come back to. I’ve really enjoyed my time here in Seoul and Jeju. Thanks for treating me well Korea!
