Language barrier is probably the most complicated problem that I often found myself struggled while studying abroad in South Korea. Like my friends, I also had to point at pictures when it comes to ordering food because I do not know how to say the name of the food, so to make it easier, pictures are my only solution to help me speak up for what I want. For instance, instead of getting a coke along with my combo that I ordered at McDonald’s the other day, I ended up getting an iced-coffee in replace due to my miscommunication skill that I also wanted to order an additional coffee with my meal.
