Education Defines Life

Amanda Ripley emphasizes on the point that Koreans have a drive which motivates them to succeed in their education system. In the classes we have attended this week, we learned that this is true. The country was built through education, therefore education defines life. But, because of this drive, students study rigorously, almost without any sleep. Many are unsatisfied, as Ripley explains in the book. Many are unsatisfied with the education system and wish to change it.
