It was approximately five in the morning and on the tenth floor of the all female dormitory, when I took a glance outside through the window. My first thought was wow, I’m in Seoul. The first day, there wasn't many culture shock for me, but as I spend more time here, I start to realize a lot of things about the culture. One, being that they don’t use “excuse me” or use any form of language to get pass another person, instead they push people. That was a little interesting, I first thought that, that was rude because in Minnesota, there is a small chance that we will experience that. But I realize that maybe in there culture, there is no form of language to get pass another person, and because this is a busy city, therefore they wouldn't have the need to use it.
Seoul National University of Education (SNUE), is a very small school but it’s convenience for the students. To my surprise, they only have two large lecture rooms. And the students run at night because of the exhausting warm weather they have in August. There security system is very strict, which is an extremely good thing because it keep students safe. Overall, My first impression of Seoul, South Korea and SNUE was very good and interesting. I really like the difference I see between USA and South Korea.
