A culture of kindness

South Korea has been an amazing experience so far. I’ve come to realize that the people in South Korea are very kind. The grandparents in the photo above walked us all the way to the Hangang River when we were lost (which was about a mile walk). This is just one example of the kindness we have received. In addition, I’ve come to learn that the SNUE students are pretty shy. When asked if they speak English, they quickly say no and run off. I was not expecting this from the Korean students. Overall, South Korea has left a good impression on me. The only thing that shocked me was the trash system and finding out that rice is not served with everything. Yikes!
